Q. How long is the recovery period for the natural canthoplasty?

A.  Typically, after the canthoplasty, light washing and makeup are possible starting from one week after the surgery. However, the degree of swelling and inflammation can vary from person to person, so there may be differences in the diagnosis by the specialist regarding the recovery. It usually takes a minimum of 1-2 months for the swelling to completely subside and for the surgical results to be fully visible.

Q. I got conjunctival edema after the surgery.

A.  The severity and duration of conjunctival edema can vary depending on the patient's condition, surgical method, and eye structure, but generally, it disappears within 2-3 weeks. In cases where the eyeball is involved, conjunctival edema may last longer, but it will naturally improve over time, so there is no need to worry too much.
