Q&A

Q. What is non-implant rhinoplasty?

A.  Non-implant rhinoplasty refers to rhinoplasty procedures that do not involve

the use of any type of artificial implant, such as Gore-Tex, silicone, or silitex. Instead,

the surgery utilizes autologous tissues, which means tissues taken

from the patient's own body, such as cartilage or dermal grafts

Q. Won't the nose be too low without implants?

A.  In most cases, it is possible to achieve the desired height for the nose using autologous tissues, such as ear cartilage, septal cartilage, or dermal grafts. However, depending on the condition of the nose, there are situations where silicone implants may be necessary to achieve the desired shape.

Q. Does non-implant rhinoplasty have no side effects?

A.  While it is difficult to claim a 0% occurrence rate of side effects, it is true that the majority of side effects in rhinoplasty procedures are associated with the use of artificial implants.

Therefore, it can be said that non-implant rhinoplasty has a significantly lower probability of side effects compared to implant rhinoplasty.
