Reoperation Methods According to the Types
Case 01 ──────────────
Capsular contracture occurs when the membrane surrounding the breast implant thickens or contracts after breast surgery, causing the breasts to become firm.
Case 02 ──────────────
Rippling can be caused by insufficient breast tissue, inadequate or excessive filling of the breast implant, or using a large implant in a pocket space. It is characterized by visible folds or wrinkles in the implant, and the skin around the breast may have a rippling appearance.
Case 03 ──────────────
If there is dissatisfaction with breast size or shape due to insufficient breast tissue, breast asymmetry, or an error in creating the implant pocket, reoperation might be considered.
Case 04 ──────────────
Though implant damage and rupture are rare, they might occur due to trauma or external injuries, necessitating reoperation for implant replacement.

Q. Will there be more scarring with reoperation?
A. In general, reoperation uses the existing surgical incision to avoid creating new scars. However, if it is unavoidable to perform surgery through a new incision site, efforts are made to minimize the incision and use micro-sutures to minimize scarring.
Q. Will recovery be slower with breast reoperation?
A. Not necessarily. With advancements in surgical techniques, patients can often be discharged on the same day of the surgery and return to their daily activities quickly, similar to the initial surgery.
Q. Is breast reoperation more painful?
